Meet Our Coaches

 

Coach Mroz started rowing when he was 12 in Viking Rowing Club’s summer program in Ventnor, NJ.  He rowed for Holy Spirit HS in their Novice 8, 2nd Varsity 8, and Varsity Lightweight 8, in his fours years at Spirit.  He began coaching Cedar Creek both boys and girls in 2013, where he implemented a new year round training program.  His JV 4 boys won the Atlantic County Championship regatta in 2015.  Coach Mroz is a Teacher of Business Education and Special Education at Cedar Creek.  He also serves as the adviser to the schools Future Business Leaders of America club.

Coach Martin was a part of the inaugural crew season at Cedar Creek.  After graduating from Cedar Creek in 2015, she then went on to row for 4 years at Jacksonville University, a Division I school in Jacksonville Florida.  While there, she won 3 MAAC conference championships, was a 3-time NCAA finalist, and was a team captain during her Junior and Senior years.  Now entering her third season coaching back at her alma mater, she is excited to continue to be a part of the growth of this program as Assistant Coach JV/Varsity.

It was love at first stroke when Coach Langley Oudemans started rowing at Oakcrest her freshman year.  When the new school opened and she moved to Cedar Creek, she helped start the rowing program and was part of the first graduating class in 2013.  She was recruited and went on row Division I at Rutgers.  Rowing in college was a dream come true, and as a rower, she was First-Team All Big 10, captain of the for two years, recipient of the Big 10 Sportsmanship award, and was voted most valuable rower by her teammates.  She majored in environmental policy and, after Rutgers, worked as a teacher in Thailand for a year before returning to graduate school and working as a cook at her sister’s restaurant and substituting at Cedar Creek.  After a brief rowing hiatus, Coach Langley is excited to be back on the Mullica, and is eager to share her love of the sport with the Novice squad!

Coach Brooke Kaenzig started rowing at Cedar Creek in 2014 and quickly realized her passion for the sport.  She was dedicated to rowing for her entire high school career.  Her most notable memory is qualifying for the Stotesbury semifinals when she competed in the JV 4+ and Varsity 4+ categories.  She was named the team captain by the coaching staff during her senior year.  After graduating in 2017, Brooke went on to row at Saint Joseph’s University where she earned a degree in accounting.  She then worked at an accounting firm in Philadelphia for a year.  Now, Brooke is teaching Business Education at Vineland High School.  She is excited to return to Cedar Creek as a coach, and is eager to get out on the river with the Novice/Freshman
